How can I find the best size for my dog?

Please follow our SIZE GUIDE carefully and make sure of accurate measurements. If you are still not sure, you can always consult with us at for any sizing questions before you place the order.

Do you offer sizes for the small breed?

Unfortunately, no, WOOFESSENTIAL is big dogs ONLY. Our smallest size has a 23-inch back length, which is for medium-sized dogs, like Border Collies.

The largest size is still small for my dog, do you offer sizes for the giant breed?

Our sizes may cover some giant breeds, it all depends on the actual measurements of your dog. We will consider adding larger sizes if there are demands.

What if my dog is in between sizes?

If the measurements fall in between sizes, go with the smaller size.


What are dog raincoats best for?

All breeds can benefit from wearing raincoats, which keep them warm and dry in wet weather. Certain breeds may require them more than others:

  • Breeds with short or thin coats, may not have enough natural insulation.
  • Older dogs or dogs with certain health conditions, such as arthritis, may need extra protection against the
  • For Long-haired breeds and puddle jumpers, a full-coverage raincoat will save you so much trouble drying them out.
How waterproof is the Puddle Jumper Raincoat?

Our waterproof technology is commonly used in high-end outerwear for humans, the inner-layer PU(Polyurethane) coating provides a >16,000 mm Waterproof Rating, meaning it can work in conditions like heavy rain, wet snow, and under moderate pressure. Additionally, the out-layer DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment reinforces the overall waterproof by making water beads up and roll off the fabric. You can have decent hiking under moderate to heavy rain with no problem.

Is your raincoat breathable?

Yes, the pore diameter of our waterproof coating is about 0.03μm, which is between vapor (0.0004μm) and raindrop (100-3000μm), allowing water vapor to pass through and preventing rainwater from entering. 

Does the raincoat keep my pup warm?

Yes, it does at certain levels, by blocking the rainwater and wind. However, the raincoat is not designed for extremely cold weather. You can always add a layer inside for extra warmth just like humans normally do.

Can my dog wear another layer inside the raincoat?

Absolutely, it is a great way to customize warmth and weather protection depending on your adventure.

How to put the raincoat on my dog?

The easiest way to do this is to have your dog stand with his/her hind end towards you.

  • Unzip the back zipper and gently guide your dog's head through the head opening.
  • Slip the front legs through the sleeves one by one, then the back legs.
  • Zip up the raincoat.
  • Adjust the head opening, neck, waist, sleeves and collar as needed for a comfortable and snug fit.

Do you have a hood attachment for the dog raincoat?

A hooded raincoat may look cute, however, it’s not practical for dogs. The hood blocks their sight and makes them stressed. Most dogs will try to shake it off due to our experiences. WOOFESSENTIAL uses an adjustable collar design instead of the hood, which can offer enough coverage without causing any discomfort.

What if my dog wears a body harness?

If you are not able to attach the leash to the harness through the leash portal, put on the harness over the raincoat.

How do I care for the raincoat?

CLEAN: Wash it with the zipper closed in cold water on a gentle cycle. Use mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Hang the raincoat to dry. And do not bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.

MAINTAIN: DWR treatment will wear off by abrasion, dirt, and body oils. To maintain the waterproof performance after long use, the fabric needs to be refreshed by simply washing the raincoat, re-applying the DWR treatment, or both. Spray DWR products are easy to apply and work great, don’t forget to read the directions before you start.

Do you use the same material for both dog and human raincoats?

Yes, although human raincoats have an extra inner lining for comfort and dog raincoats don’t, because it attracts dirt and can cause chaffing with dog fur.

How quickly can I get my order?

We process the order in 1-2 business days and ship out the order by using standard shipping, which takes 2-4 business days in transit.

What is your shipping cost?

Free Shipping Over $50, a flat $5 shipping fee for orders less than $50.

Where does WOOFESSENTIAL ship to?

For now, we ship to the lower 48 states in the US (Alaska and Hawaii excluded).

Do you ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO boxes?

We can do that by using the USPS shipping service.

Can I cancel or make changes to an existing order?

We aim to process and send your order as soon as possible. This means that once you have placed an order, we are unable to make any changes or cancel the order. You can return the order later for a refund. We highly recommend contacting us if you have questions regarding any of our products before placing the order.

When will my order ship?

We work hard to get your order out in 1-2business days.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, we'll send you an email notification with a tracking number. You can then use that number to track your order on the carrier’s website. You also can log in to your account to check your order status and history.

What shall I do if I receive an incorrect or defective order?

You can always return the incorrect or defective order for free. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us at immediately if the item(s) is defective, damaged, or sent wrong, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right.


Can I return for a refund and how do I request it?

Click the profile icon in the store's navigation, or go to the return & exchange policy page, and then request a return.

1. Log in to your account:

  • 1. In the Email field, enter your email address, and then click Continue.
  • 2. In your email account, open the email sent from our store and copy the six-digit verification code included in the email.
  • 3. Go back to the online store, and then enter a six-digit verification code.

2. Click the order that you want to submit the return for.

3. If your order has more than one item, then select the items that you want to return.

4. Select a return reason and add a note for the store.

5. Click Request return. If your return request is approved and requires shipping, then you receive an email with shipping instructions and a return shipping label. After the product is returned, you receive a refund. Item(s) sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

How do I return my order?

Send us a return request first, and when it’s approved, use the return label we send you to ship your item(s) back to us.


1) Print out the shipping label. 

2) Pack your return item(s). 

3) Attach the shipping label and give it to the carrier indicates on the label.

4) Track your return using your tracking number.

How much does it cost to return?

We apply a one-time flat restocking fee per order: $5 for bandanas, $8 for raincoats, and $10 for jackets and suits. covering all the costs of return, including shipping, handling, and restocking of your item(s). It will be deducted from your refund. This charge can be waived if the returned item(s) is wrong sent or with manufacturing defects.

What is the time limit for returns?

If we don't see any indication that the item is on its way 14 business days after we send you the return label, we may close the return.

When will I receive my refund?

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Please allow up to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.

Can I exchange items? How? Is it free?

Yes, you can always ask for a FREE exchange, and normally the exchanges are handled in two separate transactions:

  • Follow our return process to return the item(s) you have.
  • Once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. This is the fastest way to ensure you get what you want.

We also provide a buy now, pay later option by using Shop Pay Installments, you can pay in 4 interest-free payments or monthly installments up to 12 months.
