Features
Made for running with a dog
Quick-attach leash strap
Ready to run in a second
Setup takes a second. Set the spacing you like between you and your dog. Running alone? Take the strap off and it’s a light running belt.
Free-sliding leash
Your dog switches sides freely
Your leash slides freely along the strap, so your dog can change sides without tugging you off balance. Works for walking more than one dog, too.
Built for real pulling power
Stays secure when they pull
The same locking design climbers trust, made in aviation aluminum. It holds firm when your dog pulls hard, stays light on your waist, and has no plastic to crack.
Strong hardware can’t stop a dog that lunges again and again from pulling you off balance, especially at running pace. For dogs that lunge, keep a hand on the leash.
Padded waist panel
Comfortable on long runs
The padding spreads the pull across your waist, not one point on your hip. Add the Pace’n Paws™ Bungee Leash to soften sudden tugs even more.
Smart storage
Zip pocket with an inner sleeve for your phone, keys and cards, plus loops on each side.
Reflective details
Reflective strips and logo for early mornings and evenings.
Light on your waist
The whole system weighs under 300 g.

How to attach the leash strap
-
1
Hold the strap facing up
Belt on first, adjusted to a snug fit.
-
2
Slide it through the buckle
Thread the strap end through the metal buckle on the belt.
-
3
Pull tight to lock it
Give it a firm tug to check it holds.
-
4
Thread your leash through
Run the leash through the strap loop, then set the strap length.

Lock check before every run
The bump on the buckle should face forward. Facing backward, the strap can slip. Attach your leash to the strap only, never to the belt webbing or the side loops.
Reviews
From the pack.
“It feels very durable and could hold up for the canicross folks.”
“Works great for walks, running, and hikes!”
Works best for
- Running and jogging with your dog
- Brisk walks and hikes
- Dogs that switch sides
- Walking two dogs at once
- Solo runs, with the strap off
Not recommended for
- Dogs that lunge again and again
- Two strong pullers at once
- Clipping the leash anywhere except the strap
Hands-free works best with a dog that already walks well on a leash. Repeated lunging is a balance risk, not a strength one. For quick release, use a leash with a buckle or quick-release clip.
Questions
Good to know.
Which size should I choose?
Choose based on your waist measurement:
• S/M fits 25.5–37 in waists
• L/XL fits 37–49 in waists
If you’re between sizes, we recommend choosing L/XL for more adjustability.
What type of leash can I use with this belt?
The Runner Belt works with most standard dog leashes. For the best experience, we recommend using a durable leash designed for walking or running. Pairing it with the Pace’n Paws™ Bungee Leash can further reduce sudden pulling forces.
How do I install the leash strap?
Follow the 4 steps above, then pull firmly to check it’s locked.
Can I walk or run with multiple dogs?
Yes. The leash strap allows your leash to slide freely, making it possible to attach more than one leash. However, use caution when handling multiple strong pullers and make sure your dogs have good leash manners.
What can the pocket hold?
The pocket is designed for running essentials such as your phone, keys, and cards. It can also fit a small soft flask (around 500 ml). Carrying more items may create some pressure against your back depending on personal preference.
Is the belt safe if my dog pulls?
The connection is built for real pulling: interlocking aluminum hardware with no plastic parts to give way. What usually limits hands-free running is your balance, not the belt. A dog that lunges again and again can pull you off your stride, so hands-free works best with dogs that have basic leash manners. To soften sudden tugs, pair it with the Pace’n Paws™ Bungee Leash.
Will it work with a large dog?
Yes. One reviewer runs with an 85 lb German Shepherd mix. With any size of dog, leash manners matter more than weight.
Can I use it for canicross?
For relaxed canicross, with your dog trotting out front in a harness, yes. Pair it with the Pace’n Paws™ Bungee Leash to take the edge off tugs. If your dog is trained to pull hard for long stretches, a dedicated canicross hip belt with leg loops spreads that load lower on your hips.
