Step 1 - Take measurements
Make sure your dog is standing on all legs when being measured
#1-BACK LENGTH(most important): place the fabric tape at the base of the neck, where the neck connects to the back, and then extend the tape to the base of the tail, where the tail joins the body.
#2-CHEST GIRTH: place the tape at the top of the shoulder and wrap it around the dog's chest behind the armpits.
For a short-coated dog, wrap the fabric tape gently over the hair (skin);
For a medium and long-coated dog, wrap the tape through the hair with some space to the skin, so that the garment picked with this measurement won't be uncomfortably tight for your dog.
Step 2 - Find the right size
Compare your dog's measurements to the size charts, the size of the garment is determined by the larger size between the back length and chest girth. For example, if the back length is size 24 (S) and the chest girth is size 26 (M), choose size 26 (M) as your size.
It's highly recommended to choose one size down if:
- The sizes fall in between, or
- Your dog has short or medium hair, or
- Your dog has a slim body.

HUMAN APPAREL
Step 1 - Take measurements
#1-Chest: under the armpit, measure the circumference of the chest at the fullest point
#2-Waist: measure the circumference around the natural waistline, typically where your body bends side to side
#3-Hip: measure the circumference at the fullest point of the hip
Step 2 - Find the right size
Compare your measurements to the size charts. If your measurements correspond to different suggested sizes, choose the bigger size. For example, if the waist and hip suggest size S and the chest is M, choose M as your size.
If sizes fall in between, you can go with the smaller size for a snug fit or the larger size for a relaxed fit.

FAQs
What waist size can the leash fit for hands-free use?
The adjustable loop can expand to fit up to 59 inches in circumference when worn around the waist or cross-body.
Will the leash hold if my dog pulls hard?
Yes. The leash is designed to handle pulling from medium to large dogs. However, if your dog pulls extremely hard, the leash can handle it—but wearing it directly around your waist may feel uncomfortable. Training or pairing with the Pace'n Paws Running Belt can provide better support.
Can I run with my dog using this leash?
Yes. The dual-core bungee system helps absorb sudden pulls, making it suitable for jogging and running with your dog. For more stable hands-free running, it works best when paired with the Pace'n Paws Running Belt system.
Will the leash twist or tangle while walking or running?
The locking swivel carabiner rotates smoothly as your dog moves, helping reduce twisting and tangling.
Can the bungee stretch too far or break?
No. The outer webbing limits the maximum stretch of the bungee, helping prevent overextension and protecting the internal latex cores.
Can I attach accessories like waste bag holders?
Yes. A D-ring near the handle allows you to attach waste bag holders or other small clip-on accessories.
Is the hardware rust-resistant?
Yes. All metal components are made from 6061-T6 aviation aluminum, which is strong, lightweight, and naturally corrosion-resistant.
