Make sure your dog is standing on all legs when being measured
#1-BACK LENGTH(most important): place the fabric tape at the base of the neck, where the neck connects to the back, and then extend the tape to the base of the tail, where the tail joins the body.
#2-CHEST GIRTH: place the tape at the top of the shoulder and wrap it around the dog's chest behind the armpits.
For a short-coated dog, wrap the fabric tape gently over the hair (skin);
For a medium and long-coated dog, wrap the tape through the hair with some space to the skin, so that the garment picked with this measurement won't be uncomfortably tight for your dog.
Compare your dog's measurements to the size charts, the size of the garment is determined by the larger size between the back length and chest girth. For example, if the back length is size 24 (S) and the chest girth is size 26 (M), choose size 26 (M) as your size.
It's highly recommended to choose one size down if:
*The Snow Warrior Suit and Cozy Hugger Jacket run large on short hair or slim dogs, please select one size down for a better fitting.
#1-Chest: under the armpit, measure the circumference of the chest at the fullest point
#2-Waist: measure the circumference around the natural waistline, typically where your body bends side to side
#3-Hip: measure the circumference at the fullest point of the hip
Compare your measurements to the size charts. If your measurements correspond to different suggested sizes, choose the bigger size. For example, if the waist and hip suggest size S and the chest is M, choose M as your size.
If sizes fall in between, you can go with the smaller size for a snug fit or the larger size for a relaxed fit.
Wrap the tape around the base of the dog’s neck and take the measurement, or simply measure your dog’s collar for reference.

Big-dog coverage
Most jackets stop at the ribs. This one carries on under the belly and down the front legs, where big dogs lose the most heat.
Rear leg loops
Sleeves cover the front legs, but at the back it’s soft loops instead of full legs. Hips and back legs move freely at a full gallop, and the loops keep the jacket from twisting or riding up.

Yes. It’s double-sided polar fleece, brushed on both faces, so it holds warm air close to your dog. It’s made for cold walks, shrugs off light snow and drizzle, and is light enough to move with your dog.
Cold days in fall and winter, light snow and drizzle included. On very cold days, keep walks shorter.
It isn’t waterproof, but light snow and a passing drizzle brush right off, and plenty of our customers’ dogs play in the snow in it. On long walks in steady rain, heavy wet snow or slush it soaks through over time, so the Puddle Jumper Raincoat or the Snow Warrior Suit is the better pick. Towel off and dry the jacket after a snowy walk.
Often not. Huskies, malamutes and other thick double coats handle cold well on their own. Thin-coated, short-haired, older and very lean dogs feel it more. Our guide on which big dogs need a winter coat walks through it breed by breed.
Yes. Reflective trim runs along the jacket, so your dog is easier to spot in headlights on early-morning and evening walks.
Measure your dog's back length, from where the neck meets the back to the base of the tail, and chest, around the widest part just behind the front legs. The size number is close to the back length in inches. Pick the size by back length, then check the chest: if it's over the limit for that size, take the next size up. Right on the line? Take the smaller one. The stretch fleece is the most forgiving of our three coats, and the tail drawcord shortens the back by about 2½–3″.
